Week 10 fantasy TE rankings for standard leagues
With key tight end contributors Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst, Tyler Conklin, and Hunter Henry all on bye this week, our Week 10 fantasy TE rankings for standard leagues leave a lot to be desired. Reliable sleepers and waiver-wire streamers are tough to spot, so TD-or-bust options might find their way into more lineups than usual.
It doesn't help that injuries continue to be an issue. This week, fantasy owners will have to monitor David Njoku (ankle) and Darren Waller (hamstring), and both Daniel Bellinger (eye) and Cameron Brate (neck) could also factor into lineup decisions.
Even worse than the injuries are TEs with unfavorable matchups. The recently traded T.J. Hockenson (@ Bills), Gerald Everett (vs. 49ers), Kyle Pitts (@ Panthers), Pat Freiermuth (vs. Saints), Dawson Knox (vs. Vikings), and Robert Tonyan (vs. Cowboys) are all facing teams in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to TEs. We still think Everett, Pitts, Hockenson, and Freiermuth are worth starting in most situations given their target share and upside, but Knox and Tonyan are bigger dice rolls.
WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | D/STs | Kickers
If you're looking for a fill-in, either because of byes, injuries, or matchups, then your best bet is Greg Dulcich (@ Titans). He doesn't even have a great matchup this week, but given his recent usage and production (10 catches, 138 yards in the past two games), he needs to be owned and started in all formats. That also applies this week to Evan Engram (@ Chiefs) if he's still available in your league. Going a little deeper, Cole Kmet (vs. Lions), Cade Otton (vs. Seahawks), and Will Dissly and Noah Fant (vs. Buccaneers) are in favorable spots and worth streaming in you're in a bind, but none are sure things.
WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers
If you really want/need to take a chance, you can try Kylen Granson (@ Raiders), who sees about three or four targets per game and has a matchup against a Vegas defense that entered Week 9 allowing the third-most FPPG to TEs. Harrison Bryant (vs. Dolphins) would also be in play if Njoku is out again, as Miami entered Week 9 allowing the 10th-most FPPG to tight ends.
WEEK 10 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em
Losing four startable TEs, including one superstar, doesn't help this already-thin position, but fantasy owners have to trudge on. Finding guys who get even semi-reliable targets is key, and you'll likely have to stick with some of them even in bad matchups. Going with a boom-or-bust option in a favorable matchup can certainly pay off, but given this week's choices, you might want to play it safe.
WEEK 10 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel
It really comes down to whether you're in a PPR or standard league and whether you're projected to win or lose big. If you need to take a chance, play the matchups, but if you need "safe" points, take the targets.
