Week 10 fantasy TE PPR rankings
The bye weeks always seem to cause problems for tight ends, and this week is no different, as four potential starters are on the sidelines. Naturally, that leaves our Week 10 fantasy TE PPR rankings a little bit thin, and with just a handful of decent sleepers and waiver-wire streamers available, it could be a tough week for at least a few fantasy football owners in every league.
Let's start with who's missing: Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst, Tyler Conklin, and Hunter Henry. Andrews is the only "must-start" from that group (and he was hurt last week), but all four players have been in lineups throughout the year. Throw in injuries to Darren Waller (hamstring), David Njoku (ankle), Daniel Bellinger (eye), and Cameron Brate (neck), and there's a lot to watch at this position.
If Waller (vs. Colts in Week 10) and Njoku (@ Dolphins) are both out again, you can always pivot to Foster Moreau and Harrison Bryant, who should see five-plus targets in favorable matchups. However, since both Waller and Njoku will likely be "questionable" throughout the week, you might want to just opt for Cole Kmet (vs. Lions), Cade Otton (vs. Seahawks), Noah Fant or Will Dissly (vs. Buccaneers), or even Kylen Granson (@ Raiders). Granson and the Seahawks' duo is usually better for standard leagues, but considering they all see around four targets per game and have top-three matchups, they can work in PPR formats if you're in a bind. Otton will lose some luster if Brate is back, so watch that situation closely.
WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | D/STs | Kickers
Greg Dulcich (vs. Titans) is available in over 60 percent of Yahoo leagues and would make the best "streamer" given his quick rise to prominence in Denver. Dulcich is much more than a streamer, though, as he could be a top-five TE over the rest of the season. Pick him up now and get him in your lineup, regardless of matchup. Evan Engram (vs. Chiefs) is available in fewer leagues and could be inconsistent going forward, but he's definitely worth playing this week in a favorable matchup.
WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers
On the flip side, we're wary of Gerald Everett (vs. 49ers), T.J. Hockenson (@ Bills), Kyle Pitts (@ Panthers), Dawson Knox (vs. Vikings), Pat Freiermuth (vs. Saints), and Robert Tonyan (vs. Cowboys). All are facing teams in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to TEs. Given the lack of solid streaming options, it will be tough for fantasy owners to sit Everett, Pitts, Hockenson, or Freiermuth in PPR formats, but Tonyan and Knox are certainly benchable.
WEEK 10 DFS: Best stacks | Best values
Ultimately, points might be down for TEs this week. Losing four decent tight ends and three bad TE defenses hurts, and when you throw in a few big injuries and favorable matchups for mediocre players, you have a week where eight points might be the goal. Just know that around half of your league is in the same boat, so hope for a TD, get what you can, and move on.
