History? That's just another day for Angel Reese.
After setting the WNBA rookie record for consecutive double-doubles, the Sky star decided to do one better and set the overall WNBA single-season record. She recorded her 10th straight double-double Sunday in Chicago's 70-62 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
With the feat, the 22-year-old forward passed Candace Parker on the all-time list. The former Sparks (and Sky) star set the record in 2015 with nine straight.
Reese faced questions about her ability to transition from the college to the professional game to the pros ahead of her first WNBA season. But the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft has gone above and beyond expectations.
In 2024, Reese is the only rookie averaging a double-double, with 13.3 points and 11.4 rebounds. And she's keeping up with the veterans, too. As of her latest game, she leads the league in rebounds, averaging even more than 2023 MVP finalists A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and Alyssa Thomas.
It was only a matter of time until Reese made WNBA history. But she's done it in just her 17th professional basketball game.

Angel Reese highlights vs. Minnesota Lynx
Reese just barely made history, scoring the final points to complete her double-double on free throws with 20 seconds to go.
Nevertheless, it's no easy feat to accomplish what she did, especially against the Lynx, the 2024 Commissioner's Cup champions.
Reese becomes a threat in transition, as she's proven in past games. There was no lack of that versus Minnesota.
Not to mention, the rookie isn't afraid of physicality.
While the game ended in a Sky loss, Reese continues to show up and show out when needed.
