The Birmingham Stallions (6-0) clinched a postseason berth with a 39-21 win over the Memphis Showboats, who fell to 1-5. The Michigan Panthers (4-2) narrowly escaped with a 28-27 win against the Arlington Renegades (0-6) and maintained the No. 2 spot in the USFL Conference standings.
Elsewhere, the D.C. Defenders (3-3) knocked off the San Antonio Brahmas (4-2). The St. Louis Battlehawks (5-1) drubbed the Houston Roughnecks (1-5) to win their fifth straight game and move closer to securing a spot in the playoff bracket.
