Nicolas Jackson came up empty with his big opportunity in front of net, while the rest of the squad managed just two other shots on target.
Wolves also fell 2-0 in their first match of the new season, beaten soundly by title hopefuls Arsenal who racked up 18 shots with which to pepper Jose Sa in goal. Matheus Cunha missed a big chance to get his side back in it off the bench, and new signing Rodrigo Gomes was hardly involved in his 75 minutes of action.
