Liverpool head into the September international break with a 100% Premier League record after a superb 3-0 win away Manchester United.

Arne Slot's team eased to victory on the road in Manchester as they registered a third win from three games so far in the 2024/25 campaign.

Victory against Liverpool's age old rivals will further endear Slot to the Reds fan base but the Dutch coach has also set a new milestone for himself.

Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a spectacular run of form against United but Slot has now broken new ground as he builds for a strong season in the months ahead.

Victory away at United makes Slot the first Liverpool manager to win his first league meeting against Man United since Bob Paisley beat them 3-1 in November 1975, a feat missed by the nine managers in between.

That achievement is already a major coup for Slot, but the record stretches even further, as Slot becomes the first manager since George Kay to win his first away league game at United, who won 5-2 at Old Trafford in November 1936.

Up next for Liverpool and Slot, on their return from the international window, is a home clash against Nottingham Forest on September 14 at Anfield.
