The world's best freestyle skiers and snowboarders are in action this weekend for an annual highlight on the winter sports calendar, X Games Aspen 2024.
The 27th edition of the event, which has been held in Aspen every year since 2002, brings together top extreme athletes for three days of competition.
Five-time X Games snowboard SuperPipe winner Scotty James will be looking for a three-peat and his 10th X Games medal overall on Friday night. Eight-time gold medalist snowboarder Marcus Kleveland of Norway will be looking to sweep the knuckle huck and big air events Friday and Saturday, as he did last year.

Canadian snowboard star Mark McMorris broke Shaun White's career X Games medals record of 18 in 2020 and is still going strong, entering the 2024 edition with 22 medals. Also competing Sunday: 2022 Winter Olympics sensation Eileen Gu, the San Francisco-born skier who won two golds and a silver competing for China in Beijing.
Gu will have competition from Megan Oldham, the only two-time winner on the women's side in 2023 after taking told in ski slopestyle and big air.

This year's X Games in Aspen will get airtime on ESPN and ABC on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those broadcasts can be streamed on Fubo, which offers a free trial.
