The United States women's basketball national team has dominated the Olympics for two decades.

Team USA has won seven consecutive gold medals on the Olympic stage and has not lost a game since 1992.

It has already clinched a spot in the Knockout Round of the 2024 Paris Olympics, defeating Japan and Belgium to start the tournament. It will face off against Germany in the final game of the Group Stage where the winner will be crowned champions of Group C.

USA women's basketball roster age

The average age of the United States women's national team is 30.1 years old — signaling a good blend of established, decorated veterans and rising stars who can maintain the country's sustained success on the Olympic stage for years to come.

Taurasi is the lone 40-year-old on the roster, coming in as the oldest player in U.S. Olympic women's basketball history at 42.

Four 30-year-olds and seven 20-year-olds round out the team, with Sabrina Ionescu and Jackie Young representing the youngest players on the team at 26.
