The U.S. men's volleyball team will hit the court at South Paris Arena #1, looking to bounce back and compete for Gold in Paris.
Team USA, making their 16th straight appearance at the Olympics, had a tough showing in Tokyo in 2021, when they didn't advance past pool play for the first time since Sydney 2000.
For Team USA, 37-year-old Matt Anderson leads the veteran American team, as nine of the 12 members are retuning Olympians. Both Anderson and David Smith are making their fourth Olympic appearances. Middle blockers Taylor Averill and Jeff Jendryk and setter Micah Ma'a will make their Olympic debuts.
Volleyball will look different at the Paris Olympics, as 12 teams will be split into three pools of four teams instead of two pools of six. France took home gold in Tokyo and will be looking to repeat in front of their home crowd, while Argentina, Brazil and Italy will all be tough competition.
The U.S. has three gold medals and can become the first nation with four gold medals in men's volleyball with a victory in Paris.

USA men's volleyball schedule 2024
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics takes place July 26. The men's volleyball tournament begins July 27 with the gold medal games scheduled for Aug. 10.
Team USA is one of 12 teams to qualify for the Paris Olympics. It will be playing in Pool C and will face Argentina, Germany and Japan.
