Jalen Hurts has gotten engaged to his college sweetheart, Bry Burrows, the star Philadelphia Eagles quarterback confirmed to ESSENCE on Friday.
Burrows, who is an AI partner for IBM, met Hurts while they were studying at the University of Alabama. Hurts described their relationship as on-again, off-again since college during a 2023 cover story, also with ESSENCE.
Fans have speculated about an engagement since the Eagles-Packers game in Brazil, after a photo circulated on social media of Burrows sporting a big diamond ring.
Hurts and Burrows went public with their relationship in 2023, the year Hurts posted career-highs for passing yards (3,858), passing touchdowns (23) and total touchdowns (38). Eagles fans can only hope for similar results in 2024, with the perfect ending for all involved.
