The Minnesota Vikings have seen a lot of positive things from their 2024 NFL Draft class during the offseason. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has flashed while working through his mechanical issues and edge rusher Dallas Turner has been turning heads with the first team.

The rest of the Vikings picks were on day three and there haven't been a lot of reports about that group. We are starting to get some reports on those players and the first major one is about the kicker.

The Vikings selected Alabama kicker Will Reichard with the 203rd pick in the sixth round and he's shown a lot during the offseason. Purple Insider's Matthew Coller talked about how Reichard has looked during practice and how he's impressed.

“Holy hell, in a good way. He just kicks the heck outta the ball. He was kicking 55-yarders that were going at the top of the goalposts. His 60-yard kick cleared everything and still landed in the net that was like five, seven yards behind it."

These are good things to hear, especially since Reichard has never made a field goal longer than 52 yards and wasn't viewed as a kicker with a massive leg. Seeing reports like this are important in projecting things out long-term and give us hope that the position will be fixed for the future.
