Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie had a date night spoiled recently by a fan who pushed a little too hard for a picture.
On Tuesday, video surfaced of the Kelces being accosted by a woman after she had been denied a photo opportunity.
On Wednesday, Margate City Mayor Michael Collins apologized to the Kelces via a post on Facebook.
“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason & Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins wrote. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”
The video depicting the interaction between the Kelces and the spurned fan is short, and does not show what events led to the confrontation, but safe to say the greater Philadelphia area has largely supported the Kelces since the story first made the rounds.
