Should Tennessee Titans bench Will Levis for Mason Rudolph in Week 3?

The Tennessee Titans suffered a demoralizing defeat to the New York Jets on Sunday, and quarterback Will Levis had another roller coaster outing. Levis performed better in Week 2 than he did in Week 1, but the 25-year-old's decision-making is one of the primary reasons Tennessee is in an 0-2 hole.

Through two games, Levis has completed 63% of his passes, tossed two touchdowns, and committed five turnovers. The former Wildcat also has a subpar passer rating of 68.35 in the first two weeks of the 2024 campaign.

With the Levis struggling to take care of the ball and the Titans' offense failing to sustain drives, is it already time for a quarterback change in Nashville?

Though Levis has been disappointing to start the season, it's way too early to give up on the former second-round pick. Levis showed signs of improvement on Sunday versus the Jets, using his legs to extend plays and throwing with more anticipation.

Additionally, Levis' No. 1 target from last season, Deandre Hopkins, hasn't played a full complement of snaps as he plays through injury. Hopkins and Levis developed strong chemistry in 2023 and this offseason, so the five-time Pro Bowler's absence from the starting lineup has to be affecting Levis to some degree.

The Titans' offensive line has been abysmal to begin the 2024 campaign, also, as the unit has allowed seven sacks through two games and is struggling to create a clean pocket for Levis.

Ultimately, Levis has to cut down on his bonehead decisions and start playing clean, mistake-free football. But it is too early to even think about giving Mason Rudolph the QB1 job.
