It is that glorious time in the NFL offseason when analysts can assemble lists, make predictions, and cover all possible topics regarding the upcoming season without being wrong.

However, the latest NFL insider's Top 10 quarterback list could be an exception.  Not surprisingly, Patrick Mahomes is the top-ranked quarterback on the list, but the second-ranked quarterback is surprising.  It is not the reigning NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson, who somehow comes in at No. 4 behind second-ranked Joe Burrow and third-ranked Josh Allen.

Burrow's position as the second-ranked NFL quarterback is debatable.  Talent is not the issue, but injuries have been.  The team's 2022 Cinderella-like Super Bowl run was expected to be just the beginning, but Burrow and company finished in last place in the AFC North last season with a 9-8 record.

Lamar Jackson's Ravens won the division with an impressive 13-4 record but came up short in the playoffs in a close 17-10 loss to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.  Jackson stayed healthy for the entire season and won in the playoffs, overcoming two criticisms he received earlier in his career.
