Despite a late comeback bid by the Vikings, the Seahawks held on for a 37-30 win in a back-and-forth battle on "Monday Night Football."
Minnesota (8-4) went into halftime with a 17-10 lead, keeping Seattle (10-2) and its raucous home crowd in check for most of the game's first 30 minutes. The Seahawks were far from finished, though, ripping off 24 straight points, highlighted by a 60-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to David Moore late in the third quarter and a Rashaad Penny touchdown run following a Kirk Cousins interception.

The Vikings, who entered the night hoping to keep pace with the Packers in the NFC North division race, nearly had enough to dig out of a 17-point hole in the final quarter. Laquon Treadwell was left all alone for an easy 58-yard touchdown reception, and Kyle Rudolph had a one-handed snag in the end zone to bring Minnesota within one possession of the Seahawks with just over seven minutes to play.
The Vikings got the ball back with just over three minutes remaining, but that's when Seattle's defense stepped up. Minnesota opted to go for it on 4th-and-3 from their own 42 before the two-minute warning, but Cousins' pass to Irv Smith was off the mark. Chris Carson, who had a stellar night with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown, helped run out the clock to propel the Seahawks to the top spot in the NFC playoff hunt.
