The Los Angeles Rams have been well-linked to several draft day rumors about them wanting to move up in the 2024 NFL Draft. Many expected the team to make a move and select an offensive player, but the team instead stayed put at 19 and selected Florida State pass rusher Jared Verse

However, they certainly tried their very best to move up in the draft, offering the New York Jets a blockbuster deal to move from 19th to 10th overall, according to a new video released by the NFL.

The Rams were offering both their first AND second-round selections to move up nine spots in the draft. Likely, the Rams were interested in securing tight end Brock Bowers to add to their offense.

Later on, the Rams called the Jets again with another offer, after the Jets flipped from 10 to 11. The Rams would have send 19, 52, AND one of their two third-round picks to move up from 19 to 11, an immense haul.

The Rams also later tried calling the Indianapolis Colts with a similar offer for the 15th overall pick. The Colts declined and selected UCLA pass rusher Laiatu Latu.

Los Angeles ended up punting the 52nd overall pick anyway the following day in their trade-up for Florida State DT Braden Fiske, a move that has been frequently mocked and even called the worst draft overpay in years

Both trades tell a story of just how all-in the Rams' approach felt in acquiring talent this offseason. They aggressively pursued talent in free agency and the draft in moves that felt reminiscent of the 2018 Los Angeles Rams. How this continues as the season draws closer and even throughout the season will be interesting to see.
