Earlier this offseason, the New England Patriots released wide receiver DeVante Parker, allowing him to be picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, after just a couple of months with his new team, Parker has announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Parker, 31, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2015 draft following a collegiate career at Louisville.

He spent seven seasons with Miami before being traded, along with a 2022 fifth-round selection, to New England for a 2023 third-round pick.

Parker spent two seasons with the Patriots, appearing in 26 games and catching 64 passes for 933 yards and three touchdowns.
