The Green Bay Packers squared off with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 action in Brazil.

It was a great game, and the Packers had a chance to win the contest right up to the end. Philadelphia ended up coming out on top, but the Packers got even worse news. Star quarterback Jordan Love suffered a knee injury that some feared even could take him out for the rest of the season.

Luckily, that isn't the case. Love suffered a sprain and was listed as doubtful for much of the week leading up to the team's Week 2 meeting with the Indianapolis Colts. He didn't end up playing with Malik Willis, getting the nod under center.

There's a chance that Love could be back as soon as Week 3, though. He returned to practice on Wednesday and is "hopeful" about making a return this weekend, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

"Malik Willis will get a chance to face his old team on Sunday. Unless he doesn’t," Florio said. "Packers starter Jordan Love, who suffered an MCL sprain 12 days ago, is holding out hope to play against the Titans. 'I’m going to take the week and just take it day by day and see how it feels,' Love told reporters on Wednesday via Ryan Wood of USA Today. 'I’m not going to make any decisions right now. I’m hopeful that I can get to that point where I can get in there, but we’re just going to take it day by day.'

"Love originally was expected to return between Week 4 and Week 6. After Sunday’s visit to Nashville, the Packers host the Vikings in a key NFC North clash. If Love can’t play on Sunday, Willis will face the team that drafted him in 2022 and traded him to Green Bay last month."

If Love actually can return this week, that would be a great sign for Green Bay.
