The Chiefs and the Bills met in the divisional round Sunday with a spot in the AFC championship game on the line. It was the third time that Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes were going head-to-head in postseason play.

Despite it being the first time the Chiefs superstar went on the road in the playoffs, the result was the same. Mahomes remained undefeated against Allen in the postseason, as Kansas City handed Buffalo a 27-24 loss.

With the win, Kansas City is off to a jaw-dropping sixth consecutive season. The Chiefs have advanced to the round before the Super Bowl in every season Mahomes has been the starter in.

The 2024 conference championship will be different. Like the divisional round, the Chiefs are going to be on the road, as Andy Reid's coalition is set to take on the NO. 1 seed in the AFC.

Who will the Chiefs play in the AFC championship game?

The winner between the Chiefs and the Bills gets a date with the Ravens, who came out victorious in the other AFC divisional-round game against the Texans.

No. 3 Chiefs at No. 1 Baltimore

The Ravens used the bye week to rest up for a matchup against the Texans and it paid off. Baltimore trounced Houston 34-10 at home to advance to the franchise's first AFC Championship appearance since 2012.

That means that the Chiefs will be traveling to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Ravens on the road. Since Baltimore is the No. 1 seed in the conference, it has already earned home field advantage for the matchup.

The Chiefs have frequented the AFC Championship, advancing to the conference championship in an impressive six consecutive postseasons. However, this is the first time they will face the Ravens in the conference championship in the Lamar era.
