After an 11-season NFL career that began with the New England Patriots, defensive back Logan Ryan has announced his retirement with a video on social media.

Ryan, 33, played collegiately at Rutgers from 2009-12 where he earned First-team All-American and All-Big East honors in his final year.

Following his time as a Scarlet Knight, Ryan was drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 2013 draft. He spent four seasons in New England, recording 243 tackles (five for a loss), 41 passes defensed, 13 interceptions, six quarterback hits, four forced fumbles and 2.5 sacks while also helping the team win two Super Bowls.

Ryan played the remainder of his career with the Tennessee Titans (2017-19), New York Giants (2020-21), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2022) and San Francisco 49ers (2023).
