From the AFC East to the AFC championship game?

The 2023 "Monday Night Football" slate gets underway hot with the Buffalo Bills traveling to MetLife Stadium to take on the new-look, Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets, and it could be a knockdown, drag-out fight.

LIVE: Follow Bills vs. Jets updates from 'Monday Night Football'

Both the Jets and the Bills are gunning for an AFC East crown this year. The Bills look largely the same as they did in 2022 when they went 13-3 and ran away with the division. The Jets, though, look very different in several big spots.

After the Zach Wilson experiment went up in flames, New York added Aaron Rodgers this offseason, hoping to course-correct on decades-long quarterback play futility. The Jets also added old friends of Rodgers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to the receiving corps, while adding Rodgers' former NFC North rival Dalvin Cook to their backfield.

All of those upgrades weren't just made to fend off the Bills in the division, but to potentially make a run to the Super Bowl in February. Monday night will provide the first real litmus test.
