The Indianapolis Colts were back on the field Wednesday for their second organized team activity (OTA) session at their practice facility.

We put together a quick roundup of the news and highlights from the first day that the media was present, but we're also going to dive a bit deeper into what went down at practice.

Here are the biggest takeaways from Day 2 of Colts OTAs;

Colts OTAs: Takeaways from Day 2

Anthony Richardson is back

The electric quarterback was on the field to begin OTAs and didn't seem to have any restrictions at all. His throwing motion looked normal and even a little improved. Richardson had a few nice throws, including a long toss to Kylen Granson in 7-on-7 work. He also threw an interception on a throw behind Mo Alie-Cox.

Michael Pittman Jr. injury scare

The Colts' top receiver exited practice early when he collided with cornerback Jaylon Jones. Pittman went down and limped off the field before leaving practice early. Fortunately, head coach Shane Steichen said after practice that Pittman and Jones banged knees and that Pittman isn't dealing with a serious injury.

Jelani Woods has a day

After missing the entire 2023 season due to nagging hamstring injuries, Woods looked like himself on Wednesday. The extremely athletic tight end was all over the place making some impressive plays after the catch. It certainly caught the eye of Steichen.

"Missing all of last season and coming into OTAs and finally getting to see him. I mean I saw him a little bit in training camp, he got the injury, but to see how long he is and how he can run, vertical threat, different things you can do with him. It’s good to have him back out there.”

Rookie makes a play

One of the highlight plays of the day came from fifth-round linebacker Jaylon Carlies, who nabbed an interception in 7-on-7 work against Joe Flacco.
