The Cleveland Browns finalized a deal to extend kicker Dustin Hopkins making him one of the five highest paid kickers in the NFL.
Though Hopkins earned his payday with clutch kicks for the Browns in 2023, he is not even considered the best kicker in the AFC North division. Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens gets that award. Hopkins is arguably not the second best kicker in his division either since Pittsburgh's Chris Boswell has been a stalwart for the Steelers for nine seasons.
His other AFC North competition is Bengals kicker Evan McPherson, a 2021 draft pick, who has already earned a reputation for being rock solid in the postseason.
Any given Sunday, the AFC North kicker rankings can change especially among the three 30-somethings, Tucker, Boswell, and Hopkins with McPherson, 24, not far behind.
