After a horrible first quarter for the entire offense, the Philadelphia Eagles finally got rolling behind their prized free agent addition from the offseason.

Saquon Barkley is having himself an Eagles debut against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil. The superstar running back scored Philadelphia’s first two touchdowns of the season, showing off his gifts as a receiver and runner.

His second score probably reminded head coach Nick Sirianni of the time he ripped his sunglasses off in awe during a recent Eagles practice. On a first down handoff from the Packers 11 yard line, Barkley toasted an unblocked Quay Walker with a jump cut before racing away untouched for the score.

Barkley’s first touchdown came on a gorgeous play design and throw from quarterback Jalen Hurts. The Eagles got Barkley matched up with linebacker Isaiah McDuffie in coverage and exploited the mismatch.

So far, the three-year, $37.75 million contract the Eagles gave Barkley to get him out of East Rutherford, New Jersey looks worth every penny.
