The Miami Dolphins are deep at the skill positions. Their wide receivers and running backs are collectively some of the best units in the NFL today. As they continue to roll through training camp, though, players at both positions, as well as other spots on the field, will begin to separate from the pack while others are left behind. These three players are names to keep an eye on potentially seeing the chopping block:

OL Liam Eichenberg

Eichenberg was bad in 2023. He allowed four sacks and 20 pressures, per PFF, and was the worst member of the Dolphins’ offensive line. He played guard and center, and the Dolphins brought in three new interior offensive linemen because Eichenberg was so bad. They signed Aaron Brewer and Jack Driscoll from the Titans and Eagles, respectively, and they signed Andrew Meyer, who went undrafted out of UTEP. The writing is on the wall for Eichenberg.

WR Erik Ezukanma

The Dolphins took Ezukanma in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech, and he has a grand total of one catch. Miami signed Odell Beckham Jr to be their third option alongside Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and they drafted Malik Washington out of Virginia. I don’t foresee Braxton Berrios or River Cracraft going anywhere, either, so that leaves Ezukanma as the odd man out.

RB Jeff Wilson Jr

The Dolphins traded for Wilson in 2022, sending a fifth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for his services. However, when you look at the current lineup of Dolphins’ running backs, he’s currently fourth in the pecking order. Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane are the definitive top two backs for the Dolphins, and they just drafted Jaylen Wright out of Tennessee in the fourth round.
