The Dallas Cowboys have had quite the last couple of days. Owner Jerry Jones said he has "no urgency" to sign star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a new contract, to which Lamb himself replied by saying "lol" on X.

Dak Prescott responded to Jones' comments, saying it's urgent to him that a deal get done for his star pass-catcher. Executive Vice President Stephen Jones said on The Doomsday Podcast that signing Dak, Lamb, and Micah Parsons to deals was a priority for the Cowboys.

Amidst all that news, Prescott was held out of practice on Friday for precautionary reasons. The quarterback is dealing with soreness in his ankle following joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams. The Cowboys don't seem worried about the matter at all, though, as Tom Pelissero is being told that "he will be fine."

While this is the last thing Cowboys fans would want to hear, it's good to know this is more of a precautionary move than anything.
