The Washington Commanders quietly have a solid collection of wide receivers that are vying for roster spots.

Alongside Terry McLaurin and former first-round pick Jahan Dotson, the likes of rookie Luke McCaffrey and free agent signing Olamide Zaccheaus are hoping to play vital roles in the Commanders’ offense.

One receiver that has flown under the radar, though, is Dyami Brown. The North Carolina product is entering his fourth year in the league, and is hoping that this will finally be his breakout season.

Despite consecutive 1,000 yard seasons to close out his career at North Carolina, Brown has yet to catch more than 12 passes in a season since being drafted in 2021. However, though, it appears that the dynamic deep threat could finally be in for a big jump in production in 2024.

Brown caught a 42 yard pass from Jayden Daniels on the first drive of Washington’s preseason opener against the New York Jets. He caught another pass and ended the day with 55 yards on two receptions and three targets.

Brown’s performance earned him the best PFF grade amongst all Commanders players in Week 1 of the preseason.

Brown is the best deep threat on the roster besides McLaurin, and this could be the year he breaks out and shows everyone the potential he had since coming out of college.
