23-year-old Washington Commanders rookie wide receiver Luke McCaffrey is not considering how he measures up to the family name. Luke is the son of three-time Super Bowl Champion wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and the brother of San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. In fact, he feels "zero pressure" to compete with athletic family members.
Luke McCaffrey says he is focused on playing the game he loves and competing at a high level each day. He is excited to be part of the Washington Commanders team which has a mixture of young players and established names on its roster and coaching staff.
McCaffrey was the 100th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and his brother was by his side when he got the phone call. Football is the family business for the McCaffrey family, and it appears that everyone supports each other.
