Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Tuesday afternoon that Austin Ekeler suffered a concussion and a laceration to his ear in the MNF win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ekeler did not travel with the team from Cincinnati to Arizona where the Commanders play in Week 4.  He flew back to Ashburn, Virginia.

Ekeler has gotten off to an outstanding start to the season.  He had a rushing touchdown and a 62 yard kick return against Cincinnati.

With Ekeler in the concussion protocol, the team will lean more on Brian Robinson Jr.
