"Show me the money" is the famous quote from the movie Jerry Maguire, but Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa employed this quote when he grabbed the microphone at a recent training camp practice open to Dolphins fans.
While the crowd cheered, NFL media personality Colin Cowherd was not humored by it. Cowherd called it "cringy." Highlighting the fact that the Dolphins have not won a Super Bowl and that Tua himself has been subpar against over .500 teams in his career, Cowherd thought it was too much.
This is on brand with Cowherd's thinking of all young quarterbacks and is not an exclusive criticism of Tua Tagovailoa. Cowherd does not like the showboating antics unless the quarterback follows it up with success on the field, preferably in the postseason.
