Chargers vs. Raiders final score: Josh Jacobs' late touchdown leads Oakland to victory

It took rookie running back Josh Jacobs almost the entire game to leave his mark on the Raiders' 26-24 victory over the Chargers on "Thursday Night Football." That moment, however, couldn't have been bigger.

With his team trailing by four points with just over a minute to play, Jacobs took a third-and-short handoff up the middle, navigated his way past several LA defenders and raced into the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown. The 18-yard scamper was Jacobs' longest run of the night after he gained just 53 yards on his first 15 carries.

Oakland missed the extra-point attempt, however, which meant that the Chargers needed just a field goal to win after getting the ball back. Philip Rivers, who was frustrated all night by Oakland's defense, left a pass hanging that was intercepted by Karl Joseph.

Rivers entered Thursday having had a lot of success against the Raiders (a career-best 18 wins), but on this night his performance was uninspiring: 17-for-31 passing, 207 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

In what could be the Raiders' final prime-time game in Oakland, the home team (5-4) kept itself in the AFC playoff hunt with the win.
