Cleveland Browns tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden has put in the offseason work to make the Browns' active roster. Mitchell-Paden has been a fixture on the practice squad since 2022.
Building muscle and getting stronger were Mitchell-Paden's goals. It looks as though he has achieved those feats and in the meantime, he is giving Nick Chubb a run for his money in the weight room.
Browns' fans know about Chubb's ability to lift superhuman quantities of weight. He was recently spotted squatting over 540 pounds 8 months after knee surgery. Not to be outdone, Mitchell-Paden deadlifted 565 pounds for four reps.
It remains to be seen if the hard work will help him earn a roster spot. He is one of four tight ends on the roster along with David Njoku, Jordan Akins, and Giovanni Ricci.
