The Broncos vs. Chargers matchup in Week 14 features a pair of teams fighting for one of the final spots in the AFC playoffs. Each team will need some help to qualify for the postseason, so a victory is crucial.

After a slow start, the Broncos (6-6) have won five of their last six games to get back into the playoff hunt. Quarterback Russell Wilson and wide receiver Courtland Sutton have played key roles in that resurgence. Wilson has thrown for 2,385 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Sutton leads the team in receptions (50), receiving yards (637) and touchdowns (9). Both players could take advantage of a Chargers defense that is ranked 28th in opponent yards per pass attempt, giving up 7.2 yards per throw.

Defensively, the Broncos have struggled; they allow 385.3 yards per game, which is just ahead of Washington for the worst mark in the NFL. Linebacker Jonathon Cooper leads the team with 5.5 sacks.

The Chargers (5-7) have had some hard luck this season and have lost seven games by one score. They are coming off a 6-0 win over the Patriots in Week 13. Quarterback Justin Herbert has thrown for 3,038 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. Wide receiver Keenan Allen has been a spark and leads the league with 102 receptions for 1,175 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Chargers rank near the bottom of the league, allowing 379.5 yards per game. However, linebacker Khalil Mack has been a game-wrecker and leads the NFL with 15 sacks. If the Chargers can contain the Broncos offense, they'll have an opportunity to win this AFC West matchup.
