When the Atlanta Falcons signed quarterback Kirk Cousins, one of the aspects of the signing that went overlooked was the age gap between Cousins and the core pieces of the offense, specifically Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan Robinson. On the NFL Network's The Insider's, Mike Garafolo asked Robinson about the gap and if it affected their relationship. Robinson responded with a glowing endorsement of how it not only isn't a hindrance, but illustrating how Cousins "has already earned the respect from everybody" in the Falcons locker room.

"He's my locker mate so I joke around with him every single day. We joke with him, he jokes with us back, which makes it funnier. But that dude is locked in every single day and he is teaching us all to not just go through the motions, but to lock in to what we're doing. All the little things that we might not see or might not have known before. [With] his expertise and his experience in the game, he's teaching us all so many different things. He's like the best dude ever and I respect him so much, not because he's my teammate or my quarterback, but as a man."

Earning the respect from everybody so quickly is just another testament to why the Falcons paid such a hefty price to acquire Cousins in free agency. His leadership and ability to keep the offense on the same page is critical to everyone buying into the vision the Falcons are producing in offensive coordinator Zac Robinson's offense.
