NFL Network is going to broadcast 21 live preseason games "with a heavy emphasis on the rookie QBs," according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. One of the matchups that made the list is the Atlanta Falcons' matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday, August 23rd at 7 p.m. EST. It's the first game of a double-header for NFL Network as the night finishes with the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Las Vegas Raiders at 10 p.m. EST.
The duel with the Jaguars in the preseason is a yearly tradition and this year it looks to be the first chance the world will be able to see Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Penix, Jr.
