When we last saw Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and the Niners, they represented the NFC in Super Bowl 58 but lost in an overtime thriller to Patrick Mahomes and the dynastic Chiefs. New York is absolutely a contender with Rodgers back healthy, with an elite defense and plenty of offensive difference-makers around the four-time MVP quarterback.
Could this be a Super Bowl 59 preview? Only time will tell. One thing's for sure, though — this Monday Night Football duel should be one heck of a season-opener.
