The college football world will have eyes on Arch Manning in his starting debut for Texas against Louisiana Monroe.

However, the Warhawks have also made it clear that they feel well-prepared to face the former No. 1 recruit in the country.

After senior starter Quinn Ewers went down with a short-term abdomen injury in the Longhorns' last matchup, Manning stepped in vs. UTSA and dazzled for 223 passing yards and five total touchdowns.

Manning's chance as the full-time starter is expected to come following Ewers' departure from Texas, but he'll get another opportunity to show football fans what he's made of on Saturday night.

Here's what Louisiana-Monroe had to say about facing Manning in his starting debut.

What did Louisiana-Monroe say about Arch Manning?

Warhawks defensive coordinator Earnest Hill said recently that some of his players faced Manning when he was high school in New Orleans, and that they aren't afraid to face him because they've beaten him before.

"They don't hold too much fear against him. So they're not gonna hold any fear against him," Hill said.

That could end up being some bulletin board material for Manning and the Longhorns in Saturday's game, especially after the quarterback already has 318 passing yards and five passing touchdowns in limited action as a backup this season.

However, Hill also had some praise for Manning and his family's football background.

"Manning, he's been raised to be a quarterback. Both his uncles been very successful. So he's been taught the right way. He's been at every quarterback camp," Hill said. "He's at Texas for a reason, and it's an opportunity for him to actually start a game and see what he can do."
