For the first time since 2018, one of the best quarterbacking talents in school history won't be lining up under center for the Tar Heels. With Drake Maye departing for the NFL, the quarterback spot is the biggest mystery for this North Carolina team with transfer Max Johnson (Texas A&M) and Conner Harrell competing for starting duties.
While this season is projected to be an uphill battle for Mack Brown's group, talents like running back Omarion Hampton and tight end Bryson Nesbit should provide a spark for the offense while linebacker Power Echols and defensive end Kaimon Rucker attempt to lead a defense looking to drastically improve.
