The Washington Huskies will play the Texas Longhorns as part of the College Football Playoff Semifinals in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day on ESPN.

The Huskies are undefeated this season, winning all 13 games they were handed on the 2023 slate. They have the eighth best offense in the country, complimented by a top 50 defense.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is the leader of their offense having thrown for more than 4,200 yards this season with 33 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He's one of college football's best quarterbacks.

The Longhorns suffered one loss on their 13-game slate this season to Oklahoma. But they have impressive wins over No. 4 Alabama, No. 18 Oklahoma State and No. 23 Kansas State.

Texas owns the 10th best defense in the country accompanied by the No. 13 offense in FBS. Quinn Ewers has led the Longhorns under center this season, throwing for more than 3,000 yards with 21 touchdowns, even while missing time with injury.
