Two of last year's College Football Playoff teams meet in a seismic top-10 clash, as No. 10 Texas hosts No. 3 Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolverines began their quest for back-to-back national championships last weekend with a 30-10 win over Fresno State. Michigan didn't pull away from the Bulldogs until the fourth quarter, buoyed by a pick-six from star cornerback Will Johnson.
Saturday marks another test for a new-look offense still looking to click. Redshirt junior Davis Warren had an up-and-down first start, and the stage only gets bigger against a Texas team with its sights on a marquee victory.
The Longhorns rolled to a 52-0 win over Colorado State on Saturday, with its offense humming along. Junior Quinn Ewers showcased his rapport with receiver Isaiah Bond, a transfer from Alabama; Bond caught a team-high five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in his Texas debut.
This marks just the second all-time meeting between the two storied programs. Texas took the only other matchup with a 38-37 victory at the Rose Bowl in 2005.
