Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant is the first two-time All-Big 12 cornerback for the Jayhawks since Aqib Talib in 2006 and 2007 and he’s tied for No. 8 on the school’s career career interceptions list with 9 interceptions over the last three seasons.

Ahead of his final season in Lawrence, Pro Football Focus has Bryant on its llist of the Top 10 cornerback prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Kansas hasn't had a defensive back selected in the NFL Draft since Dexter McDonald in 2015, when he was selected in the seventh round by the Oakland Raiders. Talib is the only Kansas defensive back in school history selected in the first round, going No. 20 overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008.

From PFF: “Bryant will do whatever it takes to make a play for Kansas’ defense. His seven interceptions since 2022 are tied for sixth among all corners in the country. The junior is also more than a willing run defender, earning an 88.8 grade in that aspect last year which was 11th among all FBS cornerbacks. He’s a physical corner who is capable of making jaw-dropping picks and bone-crushing hits. If Bryant is more consistent in his fifth season, he has the talent to climb this list.”

Kansas went 9-4 in 2023 and finished at No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll for the second year in a row.

The Jayhawks open the season on Aug. 31 at home against Lindenwood (Mo,), an FCS school.
