<p>Then, in Round 2, the Hawkeyes survived a scare from West Virginia behind a 32-point performance from Clark. It was a tie game with just over two minutes left in regulation, but the Hawkeyes were able to create some separation late in the fourth quarter in part because of <a href="https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-basketball/news/iowa-west-virginia…; target="_blank">a massive disparity in free throw attempts</a>.</p>
<p>The road ahead only gets tougher, as Clark and her teammates will have to beat the region's No. 5 seed in order to reach the Elite Eight.</p>
