After a few weeks of preparation, The United States Men's National team faced Germany in its final tune-up before the Olympics.
Team USA entered Monday's contest fresh off of its toughest test to date — a one-point win over South Sudan thanks to the heroics of LeBron James. Monday, the Americans were tested again as James needed to take over in a game where Germany's NBA talent made its presence felt.
Germany is less than a year removed from standing atop the basketball world as winners of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The team now has its sights set on the first Olympic medal in program history.
