The Oklahoma City Thunder have had an extremely successful offseason so far. With the drafting of young players like Nikola Topic with the 12th pick, signing Isaiah Hartentstein from the Knicks, and completing a player swap of Josh Giddey for Alex Caruso, Thunder fans think the franchise should go after another notable Bulls star.

It is no secret that the Chicago Bulls are in a rebuild process. With the recent departure of DeMar DeRozan to the Kings, the only other elite talent the team has other than Coby White is Zach LaVine, and LaVine may be looking to play elsewhere.

According to 'Dunk Central', the Bulls are looking to mend their relationship with LaVine, but it may be too late. The two-time All-Star has been with Chicago the past seven seasons where they have only made the playoffs twice and have exited the first round in both appearances.

If LaVine is looking to have success elsewhere, Oklahoma City could be a suitable place, according to some Thunder fans.

However, LaVine is looking to get paid 43 million dollars entering the 2024/25 season and the Thunder only have roughly 35 million in cap space. To make up for the lack of money, OKC would have to send decent draft capital and possibly even a few players.

While the idea of compiling a superteam with LaVine appears great, putting the team chemistry and building process in jeopardy may not be worth it in the long run.
