With training camp around the corner, the Detroit Pistons continue to make moves as the season nears.

The Pistons have been looking to return to their winning ways for several seasons now. In doing so, the team has made several moves including a new general manager and multiple new players.

“The Pistons and Dereon Seabron have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal,” HoopsHype's Michael Scotto  reported on Wednesday. “Seabron was a two-way player for the New Orleans Pelicans over the past two seasons.”

Seabron spent two seasons at NC State, where he averaged 17.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his sophomore season. The guard went undrafted in 2022 before signing a deal with the Pelicans.

The Wolfpack alum spent time in the G-League over the last two years. Through five games with the Birmingham Squadron last season, Seabron averaged 23 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 55.7% from field goal range and 53.3% from beyond the arc.

Detroit takes a bet on the talented player as a developmental project for a team that can spare minutes for young players. With his efficiency on offense in the G-League, he’s shown he has the traits to be an NBA player. Now, he’ll get the chance to showcase that.

The 24-year-old now joins the Pistons on a deal that will allow him to compete for a roster spot throughout training camp.
