The Chicago Bulls look to be on their way to a rebuild after the departure of DeMar DeRozan in the offseason and the team shopping Zach LaVine. However, the team could have their future star already on the roster.

The Bulls have spent many seasons looking for their next cornerstone piece to build around. After LaVine’s emergence in 2018, it seemed like the Windy City may have found their next superstar. Fast forward to now, Chicago is reportedly looking to move the former Slam Dunk champion and hit the reset button.

Fortunately for Chicago, a Bulls’ young player has been named to the NBA Top-100 list after a breakout season last year.

“If it hadn't been for Tyrese Maxey's All-Star season, (Coby) White would've walked away with the Most Improved Player award in 2024. This is a guy who, just two seasons ago, averaged 9.7 points off the bench while seeing the fewest minutes of his five-year career,” Jasmyn Wimbish of CBS Sports writes. “But White earned Chicago's starting point guard spot at training camp and averaged nearly 20 points on efficient shooting numbers. He's explosive when he drives to the rim, can fill it up from outside, and has improved as a passer and rebounder.”

White was drafted No. 7 overall in 2019 out of North Carolina after an impressive freshman season with the Tar Heels. The 24-year-old showed plenty of potential in his first four seasons but lacked consistency at times.

Now, the guard looks to be the future of the Bulls franchise moving forward.
