Worcester Red Sox sideline reporter Laura Stickells interviewed Boston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas about how he was feeling during his rehab. Casas’ reply was a little disconcerting.
“Right now, when I make contact with the ball, it feels like someone is stabbing me in the ribs with a knife,” said Casas. However, it does seem the pain is going down and Casas is getting better. “Right when it happened it felt like I got shot with a gun, so it has dulled down.”
Casas has completed two games with the Woo Sox, and has made eight plate appearances. He is only hitting .167, but that should go up as his pain goes down. Before he got hurt, Casas was hitting .244 with six home runs in 22 games.
Hopefully, Casas makes his return by the end of August and his bat is back to how it was before his injury.
