The Royals (86-76) are back in the playoffs for the first time since winning the World Series in 2015, and a year after winning just 56 games.
Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. is Kansas City's premier offensive threat, developing into one of baseball's preeminent forces. Witt, like Henderson, set new career highs with 32 home runs, 109 RBI, a .332 AVG, and a .980 OPS.
