The 2024 Major League Baseball regular season hasn't been what the Atlanta Braves hoped.

Atlanta was hoping to rebound after being upset in the postseason last year and make a deep run in the playoffs this year. The Braves haven't been fortunate due to injuries. Atlanta still is in the mix for a playoff spot, but they are missing too many key pieces to be considered contenders by any means.

This could change in 2025. If the Braves can't get healthier, they immediately will be back in the mix next season. They also could be busy this winter. The Braves could use a boost in the outfield and have money to spend. The New York Post's Jon Heyman even said that Atlanta "loves" New York Yankees superstar Juan Soto.

"Like most, the Braves love Soto," Heyman said. "But looking at their track record, they never spend huge. (They never even made a call on Shohei Ohtani.)"

No team aside from the Yankees and maybe the New York Mets should be considered likely for Soto. He is projected to receive a contract north of $500 million. While this is the case, it is interesting that Heyman said that the Braves love him.

This isn't too shocking because he is a generational talent, but maybe the Braves will put a call in for him this winter. He isn't likely to land in Atlanta, but people can dream.
