Boston Red Sox lose second game in a row to Dodgers 7-6

The Boston Red Sox blew the game in extra innings to the LA Dodgers today 7-6, even with outfielder Tyler O’Neill's two 2-run home runs, which he got in back to back plate appearances. 

 

The Dodgers took an early lead in the game, after Gavin Lux hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second. The Red Sox took back the lead in the top of the fifth off a double by Jarren Duran, making it 2-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Teoscar Hernandez and Andy Pages single and sacrifice fly, making it 3-2. O’Neill then hit his first home run in the top of the seventh, making it 4-3. In the end of the regular game, Kike Hernandez hits a solo home run to send the game to extra innings. 

 

To start the extra innings off, O’Neill hits his second home run, making it 6-4. Then in the bottom of the tenth, Andy Pages and Kike Hernandez hit a double and single, making it 6-6. Finally, in the eleventh, Will Smith walked it off with a single. The Sox have lost the series, and will have chance to avoid the sweep tomorrow.
